Description: That first Christmas the angel said to the shepherds �Fear not�. Do we hear that today? Jesus taught from the very beginning of His ministry, until that final night in the Upper Room, that we are not to be afraid, and not to let our hearts be troubled. Why do we find it so hard to obey His command? Jesus even told us why we should not fear. He says we are more valuable than many sparrows, and not one of them falls to the ground without the Father. And Jesus says, do not fear because He goes to prepare a place for us. Still it seems in today�s world there is more to be afraid of, to worry about, or to be anxious for, than ever before. If that�s our struggle too, then perhaps we need to hear again Peter�s exhortation to �cast all our anxieties upon Him, because He cares for us.� We seek to gain the heart of the psalmist who was able to declare �I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.�
