As we begin the second chapter, John exhorts his readers not to sim. However, he knows that sin will happen,so what should we do? Turn to Jesus our advocate who intercedes on our behalf before the Fahter. What does Jesus plead on our behalf? Amazingly he pleads his own atoning sacrifice. The wonderful news is that because his sacrifice was of infinite value, it can continually be applied to forgiving sins.
