Description:
  According to the Bible, the relation between the husband and wife is one of equal essence yet distinct roles. Before discussing these specific roles, it is essential to know the foundation for all relations: the Trinity. Scripture reveals that though all the persons in the Godhead are equal, they also maintain distinct roles and authority. For example, not only was the son submissive to the Father during the incarnation, this pattern existed before and after the incarnation. Also, God created a world full of relations where the pattern of equal essence yet distinct roles abound.

  Many of our Christmas carols herald the birth of a king. But how exactly is Jesus a King, even the the King of Kings? The Old Testament predicted that the royal line would come from the tribe of Judah. Also, God promised King David a descendant who would reign forever (2 Samuel 7:13. Interestingly, David also reveals that he knew of a mighty ruler greater than himself. How can this be?
