We have talked about how the church and government are separate but interact. This week we explore how they interact. We are to pray for the government and voice our Christian worldview. We also briefly explore the issue of whether Christians should ever disobey the government.

This week, we move from discussing God and government to discussing the church and the government. We explore three important truths. First, God has created the church and government to maintain spheres of authority where there is separation but interaction. Second, the God-ordained role of government is to carry out justice. Third, all people should submit to the government since God has instituted it.

Passage: Jonah 3:1-10
Series: Jonah
Jonah preaches to Nineveh and witnesses are of the greatest responses to God's word as the city repents on a grand scale. Jonah's story is quite remarkable but similar movements of God have occurred, some even here in the northeast. We will look at some of God's tools for revival.

Passage: Jonah 2:1-10
Series: Jonah
To begin with, we will explore whether we should believe Jonah is historical and what really swallowed him? In many ways, Jonah is not much of an example. However, Jonah gives us a powerful illustration of a Beliver's cry for help. As Jonah was sinking literally and figuratively God delivered him in a most unusual way--a great fish.

Passage: Jonah
Series: Jonah
The story of Jonah is one of the most famous in the Bible, especially as a kid's favorite. No doubt, Jonah is incredibly interesting and it also has remarkable signifiance for modern believers. In today's passage, we look at how Jonah rebels against God's command. How can we avoid doing the same thing?
